Posted on behalf of Stephens, Anderson & Cummings on May 14, 2015 in Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcycle accident attorneysPolice are investigating a deadly accident involving motorcycles on the Julius Schepps Freeway.

Authorities say one person was killed and three others were injured in the wreck which occurred southbound on the Julius Schepps Freeway just before the Interstate 20 exit. Police say about a dozen motorcyclists were on the interstate at the time. According to reports, the driver of a 2006 Honda motorcycle crashed into the driver of a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle. The chain reaction also caused the driver of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle to crash.

One person was declared dead on the scene. Another passenger remains in critical condition at Baylor Hospital. However, authorities say the victim is expected to survive. Two other cyclists were also reportedly treated for road rash. No charges have been filed and police say the cause remains under investigation.

Regardless of whether it was a minor bike accident or major motorcycle crash, accidents cause severe injuries that could change you and your loved one's lives forever.

The most common types of motorcycle crash-related injuries include:

  • Head injuries
  • Road rash
  • Muscle damage
  • Bikers Arm (permanent nerve damage to the arm and upper body, which cushioned the initial impact)
  • Leg Injury

Insurance companies are for-profit businesses focused on protecting their bottom lines, not your best interests. If you were injured in a motorcycle accident, having a lawyer on your side can mean the difference between getting the money you need to cover your accident-related costs and leaving money on the table.
