A major collision that killed one person and injured four others is currently being investigated by authorities in Gainesville.
The crash occurred on Interstate 35 near FM 2012 in front of the outlet malls at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 12. Police say a head-on collision took place on a service road nearby, and that seven people were involved in the accident. One person died, and another four were airlifted to area hospitals for treatment.
