A driver is arrested for driving under the influence after slamming into the back of a police officers patrol car. According to authorities, the incident occurred in the 5400 block of S. Sooner Rd. on Friday shortly before 11 p.m.
According to a witness, the female driver of the SUV slammed into the officers patrol car from behind. The officer was injured in the accident and was driven from the scene to a local hospital. Authorities say the patrol car received significant damage and had to be towed from the crash site.
Police say the female driver of a red Ford Explorer, showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for DUI. After being treated for minor injuries she was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail.
